Women Encouraging Women

There are a lot of ways to get to know other women at here at Anchor Way. You can get connected by being involved in these special events and ministries:

Special Connections
Connections Women's Soup Dinner and Fellowship meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:00 pm at the church.

Fall Retreat is held every year at Donna Rozell's ranch. Friday night and Saturday are spent getting to know one another, worshipping, praying, and studying God's Word together, eating and having a great time! We also get updates on all the women's ministries.

Spring Conference hosts a guest speaker to challenge us to grow in our walk with Christ. Each spring we will tackle a different topic that will encourage us to become the women that God wants us to be.

Hospitality
This team provides opportunity for church fellowship through the Men's Bakeoff, Progressive Dinners, 3 X 3 Dinner Clubs, the Church Picnic and the Annual Birthday Party. They also provide meals for those in need. Would you like to be a part of this team? Contact Caroll Osteen.

Encouragement
A ministry to reach out to our church family in celebration of special events (birthdays, anniversaries) and encouragement in times of trial through personal correspondence. Those who would like to join this team can contact Lynn Baker

Newsletter
This informational outreach tool keeps our church family informed of upcoming and past events, and encourages members and attenders with special thoughts from the pastor. We always need people interested in writing articles or helping in the production and mailing of our newsletter. Is this your niche? Contact Cheryl Wilson.

Prayer Team
A church without prayer is like a house without electricity. There is no power. This team receives prayer requests and keeps our church covered in prayer. The team is very careful to keep confidential requests private. There is also a prayer chain for emergency requests. Is God calling you to be in prayer for our church, our families and our friends? Missions
This team supports Alpine Resort Ministries and other local outreach ministries in our community. They encourage our church family to minister to the personal needs within our community. They inform and provide opportunities for participation with regards to state, national, and international missions. One example of the work this team does is they provided information about and organized "Project Christmas Child" for Anchor Way so that we could participate in giving a child in need a Christmas that they would not have otherwise had.
