Adventure Ridge
In Matthew 18:5 Jesus said, “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
At Adventure Ridge, our specially selected and trained group leaders endeavor to show the children God’s love and teach the children God’s will. Through various activities, the children are taught critical life lessons as well as biblical facts: everything from sharing with & caring about one another to Moses & Daniel’s stories of courage and triumph.
We have invested in professional wall murals to capture the children’s attention and produce a creative atmosphere from which they can grow spiritually. We understand children are a blessing from God and it is our duty to teach them properly and encourage them always to the path of righteousness.
Psalm 78:4 & 5 states “We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statues for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.”
Jesus goes on in Matthew 18 to explain how an owner of 100 sheep would leave the 99 sheep to search for the one missing sheep. Upon finding the missing sheep, the owner will rejoice more for the one that was found than for the 99 that never wandered off in the first place. Jesus concludes the story by stating in Matthew 18:14, “In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.”
Here at Anchor Way Baptist Church, we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and God makes it very clear how important our children’s ministry should be to us. That is why we have invested so much in the Adventure Ridge program. We are so thankful for the many selfless Christians who understand this important aspect of our ministry and take the time each week to prepare informative and interesting activities to show God’s Love and to teach God’s will to our children.
We would like to encourage others within our community, whether full time residents or special visitors, to come and experience the joy and inner peace that only God’s eternal love can bring when Christians choose to do His Will. Adventure Ridge is held every Sunday morning at 10:15 am.
